Classroom Wish List
Below is a list of donations that can be used in our classroom. I am always making new things for our kids to use, such as literacy and math workstations, learning tools, and learning spaces. These donations help to provide for those things.
* Gift cards to Target, The Dollar Tree, Amazon, or TeachersPayTeachers
*Cardstock in white or bright fun colors - used to make workstation/center activities
*Bath Mats from Target or Walmart - we are using alternative seating in our classroom this year. Bath mats will provide soft seating for floor work. Lots of fun colors are welcomed!
* Clear Address Labels - used to make workstation/center activities
*Ziploc bags of all sizes - used to hold workstation/center activities. The kind with the zipper works the best.
*Pencils - I would like to use small golf pencils this year (best practices say they are best for little hands); however, if you can't find them and would like to donate pencils, please purchase Ticonderoga brand pencils. Ordinarily I wouldn't make such a specific request, but the inexpensive kinds break easily, don't sharpen well, and don't last nearly as long. Ticonderoga is more expensive, but worth the cost because they last much, much longer.
*Dry Erase Markers - Crayola or Expo seem to work best (although Crayola changed their formula and they aren't as good anymore.) Black or green work the best and red and dark blue are the worst! Last year I used Office Depot brand. They were the cheapest and worked well. We will be using these a lot this year.
*Healthy Snacks - individual packs of raisins, carrots, or apples are tasty, healthy, and easy to pass out and store.
